THE 2015 AGOURA HIGH SCHOOL SPIRIT TEAM OF TO USA CAMP, 7/28/15!
Every single Team Member was a pleasure to be with at Camp, and did their VERY BEST to represent Agoura High School.
You learned SO MUCH
We are so proud of you one and all!
*At awards, Varsity Cheer and Song and JV Cheer were all recipients of a ‘Superior’Plaque, and JV Songs hard work was rewarded by earning ‘Most Improved’
*Individuals earning ‘ALL AMERICAN’ honors were:

*The ENTIRE TEAM blew away the judges AND the crowd…. by earning a ‘HIGH SUPERIOR’ for their performance of their ‘Home Routine’!

*The Spirit Team Website… www.agouraspiritteam.com has a new look!
The Updates will be posted as usual, however we are replacing old forms and information for your use, little by little. Hopefully it will be fully completed by the beginning of school.

COMING UP FOR THE SPIRIT TEAM:
*The ‘Outside Skill Enhancement Opportunity’ information has been emailed home to all Team Members. It is up to you as individuals to take advantage of the classes.
*Cheer Captain Riley Rosefsky and Song Captain Makena Cavarozzi are your ‘go to girls’ for these classes.
*Changes may have been made for the classes start date/time, so please contact your Captains as above for clarification if applicable.
*Mrs. Koch an Mrs. McGrew are facilitators of the Captain arranged information ONLY.
Thursday, *8/13 – Video of USA Camp Material with appointed Team Members – 3:30pm – location TBA.
Saturday, *8/15 – AHS Camp -ALL TEAMS – Meet in the G Building at 5:15pm
*CAPTAINS WILL MEET AT 4:30pm!
* Mandatory Practice and Football Fiesta Performance at approx. 5:45pm
* PRACTICE IS ON THE TRACK IN THE STADIUM after the performance …until approx. 8:00pm.
*Please come prepared knowing ALL of the Football routines/cheers from USA Camp.
*Charger Girls will dress in their Jersey’s with SAME COLOR SHORTS AS AT CAMP as at Camp.. More information to come
*Stuntmen …as directed by your Captain.
*If there is a flyer for the event…and Spirit Team parents may want to attend…it will be sent when/if received from Football.
*IMPORTANT – Each Team Member is RESPONSIBLE FOR/MUST KNOW ALL OF THE FOOTBALL CHEERS by this date! They will NOT BE TAUGHT AT PRACTTICE OR IN CLASS!
*PLEASE NOTE: If you do not know the game materials (cheers/dances) you will NOT be able to cheer in a game
*Get together with friends that know the cheers/have the DVD over your break so you can make sure to be ready for the Football season to begin
*You have received your 2015 Football Schedules – ALL ASSIGNED FOOTBALL GAMES ARE MANDATORY!

*MANDATORY FULL TEAM PRACTICES (almost) EVERY MONDAY, 3-5:00PM ….
*AND MANDATORY BLUE TEAM ‘COMPETITION PRACTICES (almost) EVERY THURSDAY, 3-5:00PM.
FYI – Cancellation of practice will take place ONLY (for the most part) because of holidays, facilities use conflicts, or needed game coverage.
NEW – Monday, 8/31/15 – Spirit Team Booster Meeting for ALL interested Parents and Representatives – 7:00pm in the Teachers Lounge. Come be a part of YOUR Team!
*ALL COMMITTES WILL BE EXPECTED TO MEET BEFORE THE MEETING DATE AND BE PREPARED FOR A REPORT AND UPDATE INFORMATION TO BE GIVEN.
*The Team Fundraising and organization are so very important for support through out the year..we need to be ready to GO!

* 9/5 – UNFORTUNATELY we are going need to CANCEL THE UCLA FOOTBALL HALF TIME SPECTACULAR …AS THIS IS THE LABOR DAY WEEKEND…AND…THE GAME IS GOING TO KICK OFF AT 12:30PM!
BETWEEN THE HORRIBLE HEAT (that is almost guaranteed ) AT THAT TIME…AND THE HOLIDAY 3 DAY WEEKEND ….IT IS NOT REASONABLE FOR THE TEAM TO ATTEND
We are disappointed, but you can be sure that it would not be a positive Team experience as scheduled!
NEW – *Saturday/Sunday – MANDATORY – 9/19 AND 20 – BLUE TEAM ONLY – Practice and Choreography with Chris and Alyssa
* Saturday, 10/3 – MANDATORY – YOU WILL BE PERFORMING IN THE REYES ADOBE PARADE WITH YOUR TEAM .
*You will need to be there at the Yerba Buena school site at approximately 9:15am.
The parade will end at the Reyes Adobe House/Park (just past TO Blvd.) at approximately 11:00pm.
*You can receive 2 hours of ‘Service Learning’ Credit for your participation

CONTINUAL REMINDERS :
*The Spirit Team is a SPORTS TEAM AT AHS
*Important…PLEASE REMEMBER (for the entire year)… and be advised that it is NEVER OK to miss a mandatory practice/class/performance/competition/game, unless you are ill with a fever, injured… or there is a dire emergency.
*Appointments, Family events/vacations, Jobs…etc.,etc.,etc., are NOT acceptable if the Team is to reach it’s potential.
* If YOUR Team expects to be successful throughout the year, EACH Team Member MUST make it a priority to be in attendance.
*Please note: If you are NOT IN ATTENDANCE at practice/class, you risk being replaced in a routine, performance, game or competition during the year, as the entire Team depends so greatly on each other.
*Mrs. Koch must ALWAYS receive a Parent/Representative email…not a student athletes… if they are going to be absent or late from anything for any reason,
These practices are for YOU…the Team.
*Team absences does not win National Championships
*INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT!…Spirit Team Member NEVER speaks badly of their Team, Teammates, school friends, Coaches, Teachers…or any one else…especially on any social media venue. It is unacceptable and not tolerated!
*Please also be careful not to post pictures that are unacceptable when you are in uniform or AHS attire.
Everyone on campus knows who you are…and you are expected to represent yourselves,your Team and your School with ‘honor’ in AND out of school
* The “Agoura High School Spirit Team Charger Girls (Cheer and Song) and Stuntmen” Rules and Regulations (from your Tryout packet), and the “Athletic Concern Form” ARE BOTH placed on the Team website ( www.agouraspiritteam.com ) for your continual information and use, when the Website is finished being refreshed.
*IMPORTANT REMINDER – IF ANY TEAM MEMBER IS ABSENT FROM A PRACTICE/CAMP/EVENT/CLASS/PERFORMANCE/COMPETITION…..FOR ANY REASON….MRS. KOCH IS TO RECEIVE A PARENT EMAIL ASAP…THE DAY BEFORE OR ON THAT DATE TO VERIFY THAT ABSENCE!
*Please understand that the Coach/Advisor have been entrusted with the Team Members attendance and safety…as assigned THEY ARE EXPECTED TO BE THERE WITH THEIR TEAM.. We NEED PARENT VERIFICATION IF THEY ARE NOT GOING TO BE IN ATTENDANCE.
*REMINDER – IF A TEAM MEMBER IS ILL/INJURED AND IS TO SIT OUT A PRACTICE (ETC.), A PARENT NOTIFICATION IS NEEDED AS WELL. IN CASE OF AN INJURY, A DOCTOR’S NOTE IS REQUIRED FOR CLEARANCE TO PARTICIPATE FULLY.
